Run from the location
The transit machine of the location runs the tool itself, within a second or two of your click, and sends its output back as it goes. What you see is the path your leased addresses would take.

Public targets only
An IP address or a hostname that resolves to a public address. Private, loopback, link-local, multicast and shared (CGNAT) ranges are refused, and the location is only ever given an address, never what you typed.

Fixed and brief
Ping sends 5 echoes, traceroute stops at 30 hops, mtr reports 5 rounds, and nothing runs longer than 30 seconds. A few runs a minute each, more when signed in; results are forgotten after 10 minutes.
